Our College Policy with regard to infectious illness
All students and course models are asked to re-arrange their training if they have any form of infection/contagious disease (such as flu or stomach bug).
We will reschedule the training, as long as reasonable notice is given.
Similarly if any of our tutors are ill, with any form of infection/contagious disease, students are informed as soon as possible.
In either case, we suggest at least 48 hours after the infection has cleared up before the course can go ahead.
PLEASE NOTE: If you or your model arrive for the course with any form of contagious disease your course will not proceed and your course fee will be forfeited.
This is particularly important during this time of Coronavirus.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy
Gentle Touch Therapy Training College
We hope you are all staying optimistic and safe.
Our priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and due to Covid-19 we have now implemented a number of changes which we would like to make you aware of.
All our Tutors have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, as a result of which we have made a number of changes in the way that we operate that you will notice when you next visit.
If any of our tutors feel ill, and in particular if they have symptoms of COVlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately and not come into the college.
We will endeavour to run the course with an alternative tutor, but it may mean that we have to postpone your course at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your course is postponed you will be able to re-schedule as soon as a tutor is available to conduct the course.
If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE COLLEGE FOR YOUR COURSE.
If you need to postpone your training due to being contacted by Track and Trace advising you to self-isolate due to contact with someone who has tested Positive for Covid, you should complete an “Isolation Note and let us have a copy : https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note
Visiting the College
We have increased the frequency of cleaning in the college including making sure that common surfaces, toilets door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each course.
Where applicable, all tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.
Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally-friendly, single-use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross-infection.
You will have access to hand sanitiser for you to use when you come into the college and during the course.
There is now no legal requirement to wear a face screen throughout the course and a face mask when in close contact to practice the treatment – but you may do so if you still feel safer that way.
We can confirm that the laundering of salon towels and uniforms is a priority we can assure you that all salon laundry is washed at 60 degrees C
All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area between every day
We have carried out a risk assessment on all courses and we are confident that we can continue to provide these safely
During your course
Our tutors understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that we wash our hands in accordance with NHS recommendations before and after each treatment.
We will try to make your course as safe, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your course please let us know and we will do what we can to satisfy you.
In order to avoid handling cash (eg for course kits/products), we would prefer if you could pay for this using bank transfers/Paypal. All course fees are paid for in advance of the course.
All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and that of our tutors.
We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.
Thank you for your understanding.
